Each book is only $12 and is filled with wonderful and authentic recipes from our Costa Mesa residents. 100% of the proceeds from the cookbook will go directly back into programs that benefit the children and families in the low-income neighborhoods of Costa Mesa.

C&SC's FAST Student Speaks Out on National Website

C&SC's graduating student, Carmen Nacho, has been very outspoken about her time spent in the FAST Program speaking at our cookbook fundraising event and contributing to our newsletter. Her words were sent to FAST National where they were included in the testimonial page of their website. Carmen's testimonial is the first ever student contribution. We are very proud of Carmen for her display of maturity and for making her voice heard!

Cookbook Launch Party was a Sizzlin' Success

C&SC and Mika CDC's joint collaboration cookbook event was a tremendous success. Held at Triangle Square, what once was a "North Face" retail store turned into a full fledged fiesta! Samples from the cookbook were prepared by the community cookbook contributors and served to guests free of charge. Tasty treats such as authentic Mexican ceviche, crunchy chocolate chip cookies and 7-layer casserole filled the space with delightful scents and filled everyone's bellies even more! The Orange County High School of the Art's Dance Department added to the night's entertainment with beautiful Ballet Folklorico dancing that got everyone in the crowd clapping and tapping their toes. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our organizations, for purchasing our cookbooks and overall for being apart of un gran noche!
