Community & School Collaboration's programs are funded in large part by the gracious donations of individuals. We commit ourselves to using these funds in a transparent and authentic way, as consistent with our mission. What this means is keeping our overhead costs low so that more money can be invested into our programs and the children and families who participate in them.

Community & School Collaboration is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and as such donations are tax-deductible. Please consider making a donation today to help us continue our work! Dollars and Sense

Prevention - The Best Philanthropic Return on Investment In Town!

The main goal of the FAST program is prevention, prevention, prevention! By targeting children at an early age, we are able to prevent larger problems that may occur as the children get older. In their middle school and high school years, these at risk children and youth are at exceptionally high risk of becoming part of a growing population of academic failures, gang members, substance abusers and social failures. Studies show that the lifetime cost to the nation for each youth who drops out of school and later moves into a life of crime and drugs ranges from $1.7 to $2.3 million.

For every dollar that we invest in prevention for children at risk, we are saving an estimated $14 in future social costs. For one FAST program - the future public savings in remedial education, law enforcement, juvenile justice and incarceration = $313,180 That's a 1400% return on our philanthropic investment!
